Background

Raised in McAllen, Texas, along the U.S.–Mexico border, Jordan developed an early appreciation for both the legal and human dimensions of immigration.

He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas–Pan American with a degree in Political Science and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, where he was selected as a Global Scholar Fellow.

After several years of practice as an immigration attorney, he pursued advanced legal training abroad, obtaining an LL.M. in International Law with a concentration in Human Rights from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland.

Jordan is fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in French.
